Bonus Bets on Offer to New Customers at Unibet
Your experience is likely to start with the Unibet bonus, so we’ll start our Unibet reviews there, as we do with other operators. As Unibet is a global brand, the bonus offer will vary where you go. For UK new customers, the minimum deposit you can make is £10 using a debit card. So here is a brief overview of what is available in the UK, US, and Canada.
Unibet Region | Sportsbook Bonus Available | Details |
---|---|---|
UK | Up to £40 in bonuses | Up to £40 in bonuses on your first £10 bet at odds of 1.4+: £20 free bets and £20 casino bonus. |
US | No sweat bet up to $50 | Up to $50 on first losing bet; the minimum odds are -250 or greater; 3x wagering requirements. |
Canada (where available) | 100% deposit match up to $50 + $10 bonus bet | Bet credits equal to your 1st deposit; bonus funds need to be wagered 6x at 1.4 or better; comes with a $10 bonus bet. |
While these bonuses are different, what they have in common is that they are easy to claim, and the wagering requirements are both sensible and easy to understand. This provides all bettors with a great start and was a big factor in our Unibet rating. As you can see, bonus availability will always vary by region so check your local site to see what applies to you.
Get Started Quickly with Unibet
Before you can claim the bonus, however, you need to register, and this was just as straightforward. So you know what to expect, this is what we did to register at the start of this Unibet sports review.
- Get Started – Click on the register button or join now from one of the offer banners.
- Personal Details – Enter your name, email and choose a password. Then enter your DOB and gender.
- Agree & Join – Enter your address and phone number, agree to the T&Cs, and pick your marketing preferences.
We did not have to undergo any more verification immediately – but you should have documentation ready if required. As a standard, your account details should accurately reflect the official documents you plan to verify your account with. After this, you can make your first deposit and get started.
Plenty On Offer from A Global Sports Betting Brand
With any global brand, the features offered by the various iterations of Unibet will be broadly similar, but there are some minor differences:
Products and Features | UK | US | CA | CA(OT) | AUS |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Welcome Bonus | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |

Overall, we would say that UK bettors have the most comprehensive selection of sports betting features to look forward to on site. With that said, betting calculators are useful tools, but can also be found openly online, meaning that the lack of one at other regional sportsbooks is not immediately a make-it-or-break-it point.
User-Friendly Apps for Betting On The Go
With a major brand like Unibet, you would expect there to be a dedicated app available, and that’s exactly what we found. There were apps for both Android and Apple users, both downloadable in just a couple of minutes from the app stores. These are rated at 3.5 and 4.1 respectively, which we found surprising as we experienced no difficulties using them.
As part of this Unibet test, we put them through their paces and found they are simple to bet with. Upcoming and streaming icons getting you straight into live betting if you want. The other icons at the top for major sports help you with the rest and open up all the same markets you’ll find on the desktop version.
The functionality extends to running your account from here if you choose, all starting from your bettor icon top right, which gives you access to your account dashboard and banking options. There are no extra features for app users, but that was fine as we got everything we needed.

No Shortage of Options to Fund Your Account
Another important part of betting on sports online is funding your account with your preferred payment method. Unibet has numerous payment options worldwide, although not all of these will be available where you are:
Region | Deposit Methods | Withdrawal Methods |
---|---|---|
UK | Debit card, Mypaysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, Trustly, bank transfer, Apple Pay | Direct Banking, online banking, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, debit card |
Canada | Credit/debit cards, ecoPayz, INTERAC e-Transfer, Apple Pay, MuchBetter | Express connect, Interac E-transfer, bank transfer, EcoPayz, credit/debit card, MuchBetter |
Aus | Debit cards, Internet banking, Apple Pay, Paypal | Debit cards, Internet banking, Paypal |
US | Debit card, credit card, VIP Preferred ACH, Paypal, online banking | Bank transfer, Trustly |
This is a good selection and will give bettors a chance to get started easily, with cards, eWallets, and even cash options available. It’s hard to see how things could be improved here, so a thumbs up from this Unibet review. Withdrawals take a little longer, and these times again will vary greatly depending on where in the world you happen to be and the method you are using.
Plenty of Options to Get Answers at Unibet
One of the main factors that separates the best betting sites from the rest is the level of customer support they offer. During our Unibet review, we checked out the help centre, which covered all of the regular queries you might have and is organised by common topics and broken down into logical categories within those topics.
We also checked the live chat option, and despite the 2-minute wait to get through (we were told the average time was around 6 minutes), the answers we got were through and fixed the problem. There is also email support, which would be ideal for longer queries that require a lot of explanation. To top it all off, there is an official Unibet community forum where you can post and discuss topics or concerns with other real users and some real Unibet staff members. Overall, we were quite impressed, as this was another area where Unibet ticked all the boxes.
Nothing to Worry About from this Big Name
This was an easy part of our Unibet review to complete, as they are a well-established name with a long pedigree. In that same vein, Unibet is related to eCOGRA and was the EGR award winner for sports betting in 2020.
They are licensed in the UK under licence number 45322 and under MGA license number MGA/B2C/106/2000 in Canada and the NTRC. In the US, Unibet is available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Arizona, Iowa, and Indiana and is licensed by the appropriate board in each state.
As you would expect, the registration process excludes those who should not be using Unibet, namely minors, and SSL encryption ensures what you do is secure.
Ad Hoc Promotions Reward Unibet Bettors
While there is no formal loyalty scheme at Unibet, it doesn’t mean there is nothing there for regular bettors. On the UK site alone, there are regular odds boosts that change every day and free-to-enter games like predicting the first goal scorer in the weekend’s biggest fixture to win £5000. There is also the chance to get bonus bets when you create bets by using the bet builder. Finally, there is also a refer-a-friend bonus, which you can take advantage of to get up to £200 in bonus bets.
This does not overshadow what is available to Canadian bettors, with unlimited parlay boosts and daily profits boosts available when you log in. There is also up to $500 up for grabs in the refer a friend program. The US, on the other hand, is slightly behind, offering fantasy sports and cashback, although it is good to see that Unibet has something different for each territory.
A Great User Experience From A Well-Established Site
We were worried that we might have to report an overcrowded website in our Unibet reviews, as there was so much on offer at first glance. However, it looks like Unibet maintains its layout regularly, so we found no such problem. The markets are easy to see, with handy colourful icons for sport at the top of the window and your A-Z sports listing at your left. A nice little perk about this sidebar menu is that you can pin or unpin it to declutter your visual space even more.
You can also navigate easily between markets, in-play options and upcoming features in just a single click and even see which games will be streamed live. Though, when clicking around, it was a bit disorienting for the page to move up and remove the main site header from sight, although we think it was well-intentioned.
Deposits and withdrawals are fired up from your user dashboard, and the processes that are involved are something a new bettor could get to grips with in moments. With additional links and options in the footer, Unibet has all the bases here covered, too, so site navigation also gets a high rating from us.

40 Sports Covered With A Wide Range Of Markets

There is no shortage of options for placing a bet at Unibet, whether you want soccer, boxing, eSports, or even water polo. With 40+ sports on site, that’s excellent coverage compared to most other sites.
The depth of markets is great, too, with more than 30 different markets for just one ODI cricket match alone and more than 50 for the first EPL fixture we clicked on, for example. This was just for individual events, but there were also outright markets for league and cup winners – all of which could be located and navigated to in just a few clicks.
Odds Boosts Available Among A Field Of Competitive Prices
As you would expect, the odds at Unibet were a match for competitive sites when we checked. For example in an upcoming EPL match, Unibet listed the odds of the draw at 3/1, and Ladbrokes had the same wager at 33/10; in the NBA you can get 1/7 for the Knicks to beat the Wizards at Unibet, with Ladbrokes offering 2/15. With minor odds differences like this, you won’t be missing out on major value on most markets.
You’ll also see multiple odds boosts across sports like soccer, darts, basketball, and tennis every day. These can be found by clicking on the odds boost option in the left-hand menu or one of the many frequent banners that appear on the site.
Should you find the fractional format distracting, free toggle between them using the drop-down menu at the bottom of the markets section of your screen.
An Outstanding Selection For Live Bettors
A single click on the in-play tab on the top menu will show you there is no shortage of live betting markets, with all sports markets always organised alphabetically. Of course, placing bets here is a quick and easy process so you can get your wagers on with a minimum of fuss; clicking any of the odds will instantly pop up your bet slip below to insert your wager amounts. It’s not just about placing your bet either, as there are tools to help you, like the cash out button, which is ideal for those who might be feeling a bit anxious as the game plays out.
You can also follow the action for many of the events live using streaming, although you do need to be logged in to watch. We saw basketball and soccer streams available, but obviously, these will vary depending on where in the world you happen to be.
High Limits Give Customers Flexibility
As with many sportsbooks, the maximum size of the bet will vary depending on the sport, fixture, and type of wager you will be placing. So, a simple 1×2 wager on an EPL fixture would allow a much larger stake than a 5-stage accumulator on darts.
Sport | Max payout |
---|---|
Soccer | £2,000,000 |
Horse Racing | £1,000,000 |
Golf | £500,000 |
Tennis | £500,000 |
NBA | £500,000 |
NFL | £500,000 |
Darts/Snooker | £250,000 |
They do not have a reputation for limiting players, and the Unibet ratings online seem to be quite high overall. Considering the £2,000,000 maximum winning limit for soccer and the average £500,000 for most other major sports, we have no doubts about that.
A Great All-Round Performance Makes Unibet A Go-To Sportsbook
This underlines what we said in the main Unibet review, that this is one the best sportsbooks you will see. The ample sports coverage, odds boosts, live betting and live streaming are ideal features of a professional site, and the exceptionally generous limits are icing on the cake. There are very few bettors who would not be impressed if they chose to take a closer look into Unibet.
Unibet Ranks Highly Among The Best Sportsbooks
As you can see, we were very impressed throughout the whole of this Unibet review. The standout point, regardless of region, is the welcome bonus, which gets you off to a great start – and you can’t ignore the other promotions which are varied and offer something extra for longer term players. With a simple registration process and plenty of payment options, it’s not hard for anyone to start sports betting across a wide range of markets, no matter their level of experience.
In an ideal world, the bonus could have been slightly more generous, and a loyalty program could have been in place, but these are very small factors in what was a very enjoyable experience, and one we recommend you check out too.
